Meet our new provider!

Please join us in welcoming Alex Walker, MSN, ANP-BC to West Tennessee Bone & Joint Institute. He will be working in the Interventional Pain Management department under the guidance of Dr. Eric Homberg and Dr. Rebecca Desso.

Alex brings more than 22 years of experience as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, with an impressive background in cardiology, pain management, preventive health, hormone optimization, and advanced diagnostic procedures.

Before joining our team, he served as a District Manager for Biote, supporting clinics across three states. He spent many years providing patient-centered care in both specialty and primary care settings. He also founded and directed innovative cardiovascular prevention programs and participated in nationally recognized clinical research.

We are excited to have Alex join our West Tennessee Bone & Joint family. He will begin seeing patients in January.

Eric Jon Homberg, M.D., is board certified in anesthesiology with a special interest in interventional pain management. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He continues to pursue additional training in new and innovative procedures to provide patients with additional choices in managing their pain and pursuing a higher quality of life.

Rebecca R. Desso, M.D., is a board-certified interventional pain management physician. She earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. Her residency and fellowship were at the University of Utah Health Science Center in Salt Lake City. She is dedicated to providing personalized care that addresses each patient’s unique needs.

Brandon Sims, APN, is an experienced advanced practice nurse who specializes in acute care pediatric nursing and interventional pain management. He holds a master’s degree in nursing from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

Courtney Roberson, FNP-C, is a skilled family nurse practitioner with extensive experience in patient care. She holds a master’s degree in nursing with a family nurse practitioner specialty from Union University and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from East Tennessee State University. She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support and serves as a medication administration educator for DCS/Camelot. Courtney is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Cindy Carroll, MSN, FNP-C, is a skilled family nurse practitioner specializing in interventional pain management. She earned her master’s degree in nursing with a family nurse practitioner specialty from Chamberlain University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Alabama and her associate degree in nursing from Jackson State Community College.
