Osteoporosis is a Serious Disease
May is Osteoporosis Awareness Month
West Tennessee Bone & Joint Institute has clinics in Jackson, Lexington and Brownsville to treat patients with osteoporosis. The clinics are led by Shane Dunaway, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, and Taran Coleman, FNP-C, and their purpose is to lessen patients’ risk of bone fracture.
Osteoporosis causes bone weakening and gaps, which leave your bones very vulnerable.
Because it’s common for older adults to sustain a fracture before they’re even aware they have the disease, the month of May is an opportunity to spread awareness and promote prevention.
Our orthopedic care experts know how severe the disease can be, so they offer advanced testing, prevention help, and treatment of osteoporosis complications.
