Meet our new provider!

We are thrilled to announce our newest physician, Dr. Rebecca Desso!

Dr. Desso will be joining Dr. Eric Homberg with our Interventional Pain Management department. She earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She continued her skills through rigorous training during her residency and fellowship at the University of Utah Health Science Center in Salt Lake City.

Dr. Desso is dedicated to providing personalized care that addresses each patient’s unique needs. Her approach combines the latest advancements in interventional pain management with a deep understanding of patient-centered care. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve improved function and a better quality of life through innovative and effective pain management strategies.

After spending several years advancing her career out west, Dr. Desso is excited to return closer to home. She grew up in Henderson, Tenn., and is proud to bring her wealth of experience back home. Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Desso enjoys being with her husband and their two children. She loves traveling and camping with her family. In her downtime, she can be found cycling, skiing, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Dr. Desso’s diverse interests and commitment to family life enrich both her personal and professional spheres.

Dr. Desso is proud to be part of the West Tennessee Bone and Joint Institute team, where she looks forward to contributing her expertise and making a positive impact on the community’s health and well-being.

Congratulations to Dr. Adam Smith and his nurse, Hannah Richardson, for reaching a major milestone in their careers. They recently completed their 1,000^th surgery case together.
